or how biodynamics allows us to keep our feet on the ground.

It was in 1969, exactly fifty years ago, that man took his first step on the front page. There, in the immensity, the earth must have seemed very small, fragile.

Forty years earlier, a man, Rudolph Steiner, had already made the same observation. A philosopher and scientist, he laid the foundations of what is now called biodynamics, that is to say, an agriculture that considers the earth as a whole, living to the rhythm of matter, plants and animals that interact.

Perceived for a long time, and still today, as a discipline for eccentrics, the results of biodynamics are nevertheless there. Here, in the earth that regenerates. Here, in the grapes that gorge themselves on natural soil. Here, in the wine that expresses a respected terroir. Here again in the attentive work of the winemaker.

In our winery, it is the lunar calendar that has set the pace for the different stages of winemaking. A principle of biodynamics that allows us to bring together specific conditions according to the alignments of the stars (magnetic field, etc.). A constraint that we have imposed on ourselves not for folklore, but because others before us have noted its benefits (try a Romanée-Conti!).

Our wine is therefore not a wine for the enlightened, but we hope that it will still be able to illuminate your table like the lantern of our patron saint who, also undoubtedly helped by the moon, will have found the way back. A return to the land that our winery aims to make discover by preserving as best it can the accents of each terroir that composes its vintages.
