Attention, Orange Zone! A terribly addictive wind of freedom is blowing here. A taste revolution that shakes up the codes and is based on an impressive face-off between Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Exhilarating.

Departure to Alsace to hand-harvest the two flagship grape varieties of the region. Riesling and Gewurztraminer blend perfectly but are not alike. The first, bright, plays on liveliness and minerality, while the second is beautifully exuberant and opulent. Complementary, they oppose each other to display their strong personality with great accuracy.

To enter the Orange Zone, you need to demonstrate know-how and meticulousness. After destemming, each grape variety is fermented separately in indigenous yeasts in open barrels. The perfect opportunity to reveal their unique character. After a 15-day maceration, the wines are run off and the marc pressed using a small ratchet press. The 2 wines are then blended and aged in stainless steel vats until bottling, which took place in spring 2023 without prior filtration. From start to finish, we carry out 100% gravity-fed work for this wine, resulting in the production of 480 50cl bottles.

Tasting

This is a wine that will leave no one indifferent, from its deep, golden color to its pleasant oxidized notes throughout the tasting. It releases aromas of green apple, nuts, exotic fruits and sweet spices. Surprising… and these sensations linger in the mouth. Balanced and delicious, it astonishes and seduces with its delicate tannins that structure the whole, like its persistence. Interesting and intriguing. 

Open it an hour before serving so that it expresses all its complexity. Drink it within two years, it will be as comfortable with powerful cheeses as with the sweetness of an apple pie.
